Accelerate your path to fluency
Weekly Units & Multimedia
Self-paced weekly units, with 5-6 lessons. Functional vocabulary, bite-sized grammar and cultural elements explored through audio, video, texts and downloads. The exercises will simultaneously engage all of your learning skills.
You will be able to access all contents for 6 months and review all lessons more than once after the group course is over.
Grammar Clinic & Feedback on your assignments
Live Q&A session, the Grammar Clinic, to ask questions, solve doubts and discuss the challenges of the weekly module.
You will be able to submit your weekly assignment to the instructor and receive feedback.
Pausa Caffè conversation sessions
Weekly meetings in the course community to practice speaking Italian and apply the new vocabulary acquired in the module in a supportive and protected environment.

Hi, I'm Tania Troyan.
I am the founder of 7-week Italian and the creator of the 3D method for holistic language acquisition.
I've always been fascinated by the mechanisms of the human brain involved in language learning, and by the dynamics of reaching full proficiency in non-native languages.
I've spent years (over two decades actually - sounds surreal!) exploring those mechanisms, focusing mainly on the Italian language, culture, history and art (things that are inseparable in life... and in my language programs).
I have created the 3D method because I felt there was a need for a teaching methodology centred on what happens to the student and not just on what happens in the language.
My approach is structured and holistic. It's based on elements of neuroscience and provides tools and techniques to fast-track fluency in all language skills.
Every step of this journey will bring you closer to your goal: understanding, speaking and thinking in Italian.

At 7-week Italian (7WIT) we create self-paced Italian language courses, with a unique mix of live coaching and community learning.
We design our all our courses with a great passion for Italian and with our unique teaching methodology, the 3D Method, for holistic learning experience.
Why 7 weeks? It's the perfect time frame for an Italian language course. It is the time necessary for our brain to rewire and, applied to language learning, to transition to the next proficiency level.
We are passionate about Italian culture and believe that language is its most faithful mirror. You will find a wealth of culturally relevant content in our courses, together with functional vocabulary, contest-related exercises and useful linguistic survival techniques.
Following our courses you will acquire efficient learning tools and set up the correct mindset for a result-oriented and rewarding learning process.

OUR METHODOLOGY
At 7-week Italian we have developed a unique methodology that allows our students to undergo a
holistic learning experience.
We call it the 3D Method, because it is an all-encompassing methodology that involves the 3 dimensions of the learning process: the language, the student, and the student's environment.
We believe that learning a language can be a rewarding and joyous process, and the results usually depend on the learning techniques and the methodology applied, rather just than on your personal aptitude or memory.
By following the fundamentals of our methodology, adopting the right mindset and using the techniques we provide you can avoid overwhelm, grow your abilities steadily, make measurable progress and enjoy using Italian from the very first steps.
growing language skills simultaneously
Learning Italian means acquiring the 4 main language skills: reading, writing, listening comprehension and speaking. Our courses allow the students to work on these skills simultaneously from the very beginning, in order to ensure a steady and balanced progress. There is one more skill we help to build into the process: thinking in Italian from the very first steps, instead of translating from your native language.
TREATING LANGUAGE AS COMMUNICATION TOOL
For the human brain language is a communication tool. Yet, most teaching methods treat it as an end goal in itself. Our method uses language as a means to an end. By using Italian to acquire and process information, we make it relevant, engaging and memorable. All our content is enriched with cultural references, because we believe Italian culture is paramount for gaining real mastery of the language.

The relevance of the content that is being learned and the way they are structured to interact with the student's reality is paramount. It’s infinitely easier to process new words that are related to the student's interests, professional activity, future plans or everyday life situations. This makes the process of language acquisition a more rewarding one, given the immediate use and relevance of the language.

Learning the right way!
I found the Accelerator program exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed learning about language and culture. Can't get enough! The language skills always seem to be on topic. The stories always reinforce prior lessons. It's work, but I enjoyed every minute. Sometimes I was unable to make the Deep Dives, but having them available to watch on my own time, as well as, the previous grammar and incubator lessons was helpful. It's a very intense learning experience and when I stick to my lessons I definitely see improvements. Our pausa caffe still gets together and we are comfortable with each other. So, it has allowed us to not only share homework but talk about other topics and keep our conversations going. I would highly recommend this program to anyone that wants to learn Italian the right way!!

Learned Even More!
As with the Incubator course, the Accelerator course gave a whole lot more than what I was expecting. The Accelerator course continues with excellent lessons utilizing a variety of learning tools - video, audio, exercises (reading, writing, and listening comprehension). Having biweekly live sessions was a good pace for me, and it was a great time for interaction and further instruction and clarification. At each session I always had an ‘aha’ moment when something clicked (I’m not the best at grammar). The 7-Week Italian team is a wonderful group, very encouraging and patient and knowledgeable, I don’t think there’s any other company I’d rather learn from. When I look back, I’m excited at how far I’ve gotten, it’s been tough to step out of my comfort zones, but I can speak and understand Italian with locals (most times, lol). I’m excited for the Momentum course!

Learning Italian so that it sticks!
I started with the 3D method Bootcamp in October and continued with Incubator after which I enrolled in the 3D Campus and continued on with Accelerator. I like that I can complete the set lessons at my own pace and that I always get feedback on my compiti. There are also the live Deep Dives which are not only a review of some of the content, but also a time when I can ask questions and get answers / clarification on any issues I might have encountered. I particularly enjoyed the bonus Speed Dating as it gave me additional opportunities to practice speaking and listening which are my weakest areas. I also enjoy being part of a Pausa Caffè group where I can practice speaking and listening with other 3D students who are on the same journey as myself. The 3D method is excellent as it is designed so that the learner can not only learn the grammar and vocabulary, but can also practice reading, writing, listening and speaking in each and every lesson with the aim of helping us become fluent in the language. Tania also shares learning strategies which are key in helping her students build their confidence and independence in communicating in Italian.

Great course!
I've studied Italian using books, podcasts, and apps but my learning has been a bit scattershot. I like that Accelerator took me back to some basics but not too far back. Getting prepositions more solidly learned was a goal of mine and I think that this course really helped tremendously. All-in-all it has been an amazing and well thought out course. I'm looking forward to reviewing to solidify what I've learned!

Thorough and enjoyable!
Having completed the Incubator module my expectations of the Accelerator were high and I was not disappointed. Firstly it must be said that the Campus Road Map is in my view amazing. The ability to work at your own pace whilst still having the structure and accountability of the tasks facilitates a positive learning experience which helps to sustain motivation and so progress. Past lessons and related tasks are always on hand and this is invaluable. The Deep Dive Grammar Clinics are as always very informative and helpful in clarifying issues and reviewing content. I do believe the 3D method is the most effective way of learning. It builds upon and reinforces previous knowledge whilst expanding and developing new knowledge and skills. The progress made week to week is measurable and whilst there will always be sticking points and further learning to be had, there is no doubt that the structure of the material, exercises, and tasks will enable you to clearly identify your personal learning issues whilst improving your language skills with every exposure. Tania and her team are consistently supportive, positive, and encouraging of progress. I do feel I would personally benefit from the option of regular 1:1 focus sessions being available as and when required - in my case for feedback to develop further my speaking confidence - however that aside the team is always extremely responsive to any questions, concerns, or requests for assistance. I am enjoying this course so very much and am not only learning a language but equally as important, I am deepening my understanding of a culture which is invaluable in truly integrating my learning. The Pausa Caffè groups are a bonus and I have found these joy to be a part of. Sharing experiences with other like-minded students is always useful, informative and reassuring

I have thoroughly enjoyed learning Italian with Tania and her fantastic team from Bootcamp to Accelerator. I have surprised myself that I am still committed. It IS a commitment and sometimes difficult to find time to do the daily exercises but the exercises, the weekly grammar clinic and Tania's enthusiasm and encouragement make it fun. She and her team always keep in touch and answer any questions. I need the upcoming Ripasso to review what we have learnt so far and then I hope I am ready for Momentum. Very excited. I recommend this course to anyone serious in learning Italian. It is the best.
