Accelerate your path to fluency
Weekly Units & Multimedia
Self-paced weekly units, with 5-6 lessons. Functional vocabulary, bite-sized grammar and cultural elements explored through audio, video, texts and downloads. The exercises will simultaneously engage all of your learning skills.
You will be able to access all contents for 6 months and review all lessons more than once after the group course is over.
Grammar Clinic & Feedback on your assignments
Live Q&A session, the Grammar Clinic, to ask questions, solve doubts and discuss the challenges of the weekly module.
You will be able to submit your weekly assignment to the instructor and receive feedback.
Pausa Caffè conversation sessions
Weekly meetings in the course community to practice speaking Italian and apply the new vocabulary acquired in the module in a supportive and protected environment.

Hi, I'm Tania Troyan.
I am the founder of 7-week Italian and the creator of the 3D method for holistic language acquisition.
I've always been fascinated by the mechanisms of the human brain involved in language learning, and by the dynamics of reaching full proficiency in non-native languages.
I've spent years (over two decades actually - sounds surreal!) exploring those mechanisms, focusing mainly on the Italian language, culture, history and art (things that are inseparable in life... and in my language programs).
I have created the 3D method because I felt there was a need for a teaching methodology centred on what happens to the student and not just on what happens in the language.
My approach is structured and holistic. It's based on elements of neuroscience and provides tools and techniques to fast-track fluency in all language skills.
Every step of this journey will bring you closer to your goal: understanding, speaking and thinking in Italian.

At 7-week Italian (7WIT) we create self-paced Italian language courses, with a unique mix of live coaching and community learning.
We design our all our courses with a great passion for Italian and with our unique teaching methodology, the 3D Method, for holistic learning experience.
Why 7 weeks? It's the perfect time frame for an Italian language course. It is the time necessary for our brain to rewire and, applied to language learning, to transition to the next proficiency level.
We are passionate about Italian culture and believe that language is its most faithful mirror. You will find a wealth of culturally relevant content in our courses, together with functional vocabulary, contest-related exercises and useful linguistic survival techniques.
Following our courses you will acquire efficient learning tools and set up the correct mindset for a result-oriented and rewarding learning process.

OUR METHODOLOGY
At 7-week Italian we have developed a unique methodology that allows our students to undergo a
holistic learning experience.
We call it the 3D Method, because it is an all-encompassing methodology that involves the 3 dimensions of the learning process: the language, the student, and the student's environment.
We believe that learning a language can be a rewarding and joyous process, and the results usually depend on the learning techniques and the methodology applied, rather just than on your personal aptitude or memory.
By following the fundamentals of our methodology, adopting the right mindset and using the techniques we provide you can avoid overwhelm, grow your abilities steadily, make measurable progress and enjoy using Italian from the very first steps.
growing language skills simultaneously
Learning Italian means acquiring the 4 main language skills: reading, writing, listening comprehension and speaking. Our courses allow the students to work on these skills simultaneously from the very beginning, in order to ensure a steady and balanced progress. There is one more skill we help to build into the process: thinking in Italian from the very first steps, instead of translating from your native language.
TREATING LANGUAGE AS COMMUNICATION TOOL
For the human brain language is a communication tool. Yet, most teaching methods treat it as an end goal in itself. Our method uses language as a means to an end. By using Italian to acquire and process information, we make it relevant, engaging and memorable. All our content is enriched with cultural references, because we believe Italian culture is paramount for gaining real mastery of the language.

The relevance of the content that is being learned and the way they are structured to interact with the student's reality is paramount. It’s infinitely easier to process new words that are related to the student's interests, professional activity, future plans or everyday life situations. This makes the process of language acquisition a more rewarding one, given the immediate use and relevance of the language.

Learning to belong!
I have really enjoyed Accelerator. It has helped me to grow in confidence in putting together coherent Italian in both written and spoken forms. It has taken me further than I had anticipated in my journey. I feel supported and encouraged by the tutors and the other students, something that has been lacking in other online courses - languages and other training - I have been involved with. It is giving me a genuine sense of belonging to a group of wonderful people. I particularly like the ways the teaching is presented, showing a depth of information about Italy and its culture, while delivering quite complex grammatical messages, always in an accessible way. The various Q&As, Masterclasses, Deep Dives etc., reinforce the messages without being repetitive. I was looking forward to my upcoming visit to Italy and Accelerator has just enhanced this feeling. Speaking and thinking in Italian
I began this course in February and by August I find myself speaking and thinking in Italian. I was raised hearing Italian but I always responded in English. It turns out, listening and speaking are processed in different parts of the brain. I’m finally able to develop the speaking portion with the help of this course. I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to learn Italian. The language is beautiful. The program is well organized with live online classes and with excellent teachers. You also have access to the Campus library where you can study at your own pace between live lectures. The course is professionally presented and highly recommended!

Just Amazing!
Incubator was really good, learning the basics, and the support of the tutors was invaluable. Accelerator was one step beyond ... going in depth with the whys and wherefores of the language and explaining the reasoning was so helpful. The Q&A lessons were great, I was able to add to the lessons already learnt, this is also the case with the Deep Dives. Tania's Masterclasses are also so helpful. I still have a lot to learn, and need to discipline myself with my verb calendar and my vocabulary, my lazy lizard brain sometimes shows up! LOL! But this course has given me so much confidence, like when I was in Sicily earlier this year, I felt comfortable "giving it a go". I can't praise it enough! Such a well'organized and thorough course!
I enjoyed the Accelerator Course just as much as Incubator. I work so well with my Pausa Caffe buddy and we are learning so much while having fun. This program is the best I've seen and better than a local in-person class because we truly can go at our own pace and learn as quickly as we want and take a break for vacations and not fall behind. Tania, Francesco and Oreste are so patient and supportive. I plan to continue this program to its end and can't wait to see where I'll be in a year! Grazie mille!

Great follow-up experience
The Accelerator course is a great follow-up after incubator - with new grammar, vocabulary and Italian daily life basics and necessities. In combination with the Pausa Caffe practice, it enriched my Italian skills and was again a great learning experience. While we could join the Q&A grammar sessions of Incubator, I think connecting lessons on Accelerator course material could benefit to accelerate learning and practice on the accelerator topics.
