Accelerate your path to fluency
Weekly Units & Multimedia
Self-paced weekly units, with 5-6 lessons. Functional vocabulary, bite-sized grammar and cultural elements explored through audio, video, texts and downloads. The exercises will simultaneously engage all of your learning skills.
You will be able to access all contents for 6 months and review all lessons more than once after the group course is over.
Grammar Clinic & Feedback on your assignments
Live Q&A session, the Grammar Clinic, to ask questions, solve doubts and discuss the challenges of the weekly module.
You will be able to submit your weekly assignment to the instructor and receive feedback.
Pausa Caffè conversation sessions
Weekly meetings in the course community to practice speaking Italian and apply the new vocabulary acquired in the module in a supportive and protected environment.

Hi, I'm Tania Troyan.
I am the founder of 7-week Italian and the creator of the 3D method for holistic language acquisition.
I've always been fascinated by the mechanisms of the human brain involved in language learning, and by the dynamics of reaching full proficiency in non-native languages.
I've spent years (over two decades actually - sounds surreal!) exploring those mechanisms, focusing mainly on the Italian language, culture, history and art (things that are inseparable in life... and in my language programs).
I have created the 3D method because I felt there was a need for a teaching methodology centred on what happens to the student and not just on what happens in the language.
My approach is structured and holistic. It's based on elements of neuroscience and provides tools and techniques to fast-track fluency in all language skills.
Every step of this journey will bring you closer to your goal: understanding, speaking and thinking in Italian.

At 7-week Italian (7WIT) we create self-paced Italian language courses, with a unique mix of live coaching and community learning.
We design our all our courses with a great passion for Italian and with our unique teaching methodology, the 3D Method, for holistic learning experience.
Why 7 weeks? It's the perfect time frame for an Italian language course. It is the time necessary for our brain to rewire and, applied to language learning, to transition to the next proficiency level.
We are passionate about Italian culture and believe that language is its most faithful mirror. You will find a wealth of culturally relevant content in our courses, together with functional vocabulary, contest-related exercises and useful linguistic survival techniques.

OUR METHODOLOGY
At 7-week Italian we have developed a unique methodology that allows our students to undergo a
holistic learning experience.
We call it the 3D Method, because it is an all-encompassing methodology that involves the 3 dimensions of the learning process: the language, the student, and the student's environment.
We believe that learning a language can be a rewarding and joyous process, and the results usually depend on the learning techniques and the methodology applied, rather just than on your personal aptitude or memory.
By following the fundamentals of our methodology, adopting the right mindset and using the techniques we provide you can avoid overwhelm, grow your abilities steadily, make measurable progress and enjoy using Italian from the very first steps.

Learning Italian means acquiring the 4 main language skills: reading, writing, listening comprehension and speaking. Our courses allow the students to work on these skills simultaneously from the very beginning, in order to ensure a steady and balanced progress. There is one more skill we help to build into the process: thinking in Italian from the very first steps, instead of translating from your native language.
TREATING LANGUAGE AS COMMUNICATION TOOL
For the human brain language is a communication tool. Yet, most teaching methods treat it as an end goal in itself. Our method uses language as a means to an end. By using Italian to acquire and process information, we make it relevant, engaging and memorable. All our content is enriched with cultural references, because we believe Italian culture is paramount for gaining real mastery of the language.

The relevance of the content that is being learned and the way they are structured to interact with the student's reality is paramount. It’s infinitely easier to process new words that are related to the student's interests, professional activity, future plans or everyday life situations. This makes the process of language acquisition a more rewarding one, given the immediate use and relevance of the language.

Challenging but rewarding!
I enjoyed this course because it expands the ability to speak and think in Italian. The clinics are very helpful and Oreste is really good at explaining the concepts in depth. The exercises at the end of each lesson really help to make sure you understood and it helps to be able to go back and do any challenging ideas again. The way you learn in Italian you is the best I have seen and your only barrier will be yourself.

Loved Accelerator!
I loved Accelerator. It was great to go beyond the basics and get into the past tense. I enjoyed the lessons even when I found them difficult to grasp. It took me much longer than I thought it would to complete Accelerator, but that is just where I am at in my life right now. I haven't had as much time to put towards it as I would like.
